All That Glitters

I do work where I get to see behind the scenes of people you might run across on social media. So before you start feeling bad about yourself, let me remind you yet again: all that glitters isn’t gold.

I picked up someone from this $500K+ house where they were hanging out and probably posting all kinds of NYE selfies.

And took them to their real $67K house on the other side of town. Which from the outside looked like a disaster I wouldn’t want to step inside.

The entire drive she was on the phone with Verizon trying to use multiple cards to push through a declined transaction. Never was able to find a card that would be approved.

I was curious and did some research. The $500K+ house has been tied up in at least two separate litigations in addition to the owners filing bankruptcy at least twice.

I’m not an advocate anymore for glorifying poverty. That’s not the point.

Just know that sometimes you’re envious of people and you have no idea the mess they are really living in.

Just do you. And remember that there are some really great things in life that money can’t buy.
