Jesus on the Cross saves us from our wrong idea of God. People all across the world in all different kinds of religions think they have to please a deity.
The only thing Trinity counted on from us was “failure”. We gave Jesus our absolute worst. And Jesus did not retaliate.
We weren’t more powerful than God. Three days in the tomb to make sure the doubters would be sure he was dead. And then raised from the dead.
I can follow and trust a God that says: “Give me your worst and I will still Love you.”
Sin is seeing myself, God, and others as something other than how God sees.
Jesus went to the Cross to change our minds about God. Not to change God’s mind about us.
