Dropping Gems – July 2025 Review

This month these are the songs competing for most fun to jam. :)

  1. LaRussell, Snoop Dogg – Can’t Wait
  2. Megan Thee Stallion – Whenever
  3. Pete & Bas – Action Man

Honorable mentions this month for “love songs” are:

  1. Josh Kiser – Big on the Little Things
  2. Morgan Wallen – Just In Case
  3. Red Clay Strays – Wondering Why
  4. The Chainsmokers, Beau Nox – White Wine & Adderall
  5. Will Banister – Forever with You
  6. Zach Top – The Kinda Woman I Like

And for anti-love songs. :)

  1. DaBaby – Ain’t That A Bitch
  2. Drake – How Bout Now
  3. Lola Young – One Thing
  4. Maren Morris – bed no breakfast

And although they aren’t my most listened to artists, I was on these other rap/hip-hop songs this month:

  1. Big K.R.I.T – Somedayz
  2. Dear Silas – Still Southern Playalistic
  3. Kontra Marín – Sazón
  4. Lil’ Keke, Paul Wall, Bun B – Texas On The Map
  5. Scrim – Walk On Water Freestyle
  6. YSN Fab – Lose Control

The artist I was most excited about this month goes by Carpetman. The sound is new and exciting. The visual artistry is refreshing, captivating, and inspiring. Here are the songs I am initially most into, in order of my excitement:

  1. Alleys of My Mind (with Black Soil)
  2. You Will Never Know it
  3. Anyway, I Love It
  4. Let It Burn (with Black Soil)
  5. My Honey
  6. Feel so cold

My top 10 artists with the most songs I’ve posted are still holding strong even if the order may have been mixed up. Z-Ro is still at the top. I added my most recent favorite song from each artist in my top ten list below.

  1. Z-Ro – Do Less
