Maybe Jesus met people where they are? Like if he knows the religious leaders were coming at him from a certain frame of mind, maybe he knew it was best not to prove his point but first ask them to fully flesh out their own view. Take it to the full edge. A reason for all the questions instead of answers. Not so much interested in proving himself right as meeting people where they are in leading them out of their darkness? At least feel like that’s what he is telling me. No grandness this right now. Just draw close to him and let him lead. And if that involves grandness then that’s his business. Just see each person as a person. Are they trying to understand or are they defending their fort? Thank you, father! I pray for help to live this day. In your name I pray, Jesus! Think you! Please keep me from being prideful! Unless the lord builds the house, they labor in vain… Unless the lord guards the house, they labor in vain…
