I’m taking care of some cats. They want nothing to do with me. If I try to approach them then they run away.

But I’ve never done anything to them. They don’t know me at all. I only have the best intentions.

But they probably had bad experiences before. So they are pasting those bad people onto me.

When all I want to do is take care of them and make them happy. Show them love.

They won’t take the time to know me, but I haven’t given up. I’m still working to win their trust.

How many people are like those cats? How many people immediately reject God because what people in authority did to them? How many people want nothing to do with God because of what other people who had power did to them?

But God never gives up on us. God will keep inviting us to know as we are known.
