The Citrus Juicer

I went to the South Congress store and bought a $19 citrus juicer.

I took it home, unpacked it, and discovered it had already been used. The unit was dirty to the point of pulp still in the juicer.

I took the juicer back to the store and requested to talk to the manager. He was very nonchalant about it. He acted like maybe it came from the manufacturer like that.

I said no, it looks like it was a returned dirty unit that was put back on the shelf.

He didn’t offer to even go get me a new one. He just told me I could go back and get a new one on the other side of the store.

I walked all the way over there, got a new one and went back home to use it. This one was brand new. But when I opened the box, the lid was cracked to the point of being broken.

I had to drive back to the store again. I spoke with the same manager and told him that was the last juicer on the shelf.

He ask me if I wanted my money back. Of course.

They asked me if I wanted it back on my card. I said yes.

A receipt came out of the machine and he sent me on my way. I asked if I could have a receipt for the refunded amount for my records. He said there was no receipt for me and that receipt was for them.

I asked again if I could have a receipt for the refund. He again said there was no receipt.

Then he said, “This is your receipt”, and just used his pen to draw a line through the product on my original receipt.

Obviously that means nothing. If I have an issue with the refund then exactly how is that supposed to help me? I was really disappointed.

For a manager he seemed very unprofessional and not customer-service focused. He seemed immature and more concerned about playing around with the employees than providing good service.

I find it hard to believe that he could not provide me with a receipt for the refund.

Now I have to take my business elsewhere.
